OVER :(

OMG!!! its over im soo sad.
the week went so fastb and it was soooo exciting. wednesday was good a few miss haps but that was ok, moderation the laides actually seemed really nice, they laughed and i wasnt scared of them that a good sign, bummer we cant know what we got but we will find out eventually.
friday was sooo much fun we had tea at fasta pasta with just us in there and we made a family treee. im the middle child of luke and adeles family and Ms Mace is granny hehe. we all ate i have lots of photos and it was lots of fun.
Each night we watmed up but not with a spinal role or anything but with music and dancing. Kyle had a song called body guard that i think now has become our theme song and we did a line dance and cranked it up loud it was sooo good.
We did a different bow each nite, the frist bow just did not work on wednesday so we changed it for thur and the moderaters and for friday we danced to body guard and went crazy it was heaps good, might i add 6 week and no one fell over the mirror but trust me yes i fell over it coming through with the can can. My little hat also broke on friday so i really did look bauld lol!
After the show we gave Ms Mace her presents that were a day spa voucher and a photo signed by all of us and flowers, we each said soemthing nice and i cryed. I cryed becasue it was over but also beacuse of the fact that it was sooo much and there are soo many memories i never want to forget. It was the best way to go out, and it was soo special i never want to forget it. Thank you especially to Ms Mace. Best play ever.
so much more to say but i cant think of it right now.
This play really did bring us all together and we really are like a giant family, what more could you want.

Almost time!!!

Today we did a small dress rehersal with audience but only about one or two classes but i think that it went very well and was very excited.
I got my predicted mark and it was a low B and i was quite pleased with that Ms Mace said that i need to find a reason for the ballet dancer as she seems unimportant. Today when i came onstage as the ballet dancer everyone was frozen and jenna looked at me, this has more meanging if they actually take note that i am there. It felt better and got good comments.
Tomorrow is opening night and Well IM JUST SOOO EXCITED!!! like a could bust at my seams. then ally would have to fix me lol...nice little joke i put in there i thought ahahaha.
Well i personally cant wait. thursday will be quite scary as it is the moderation nite but hey just picture them in their underwear and think that they are normal people as well. :)

Very Very close Very very excited!!!

Well I must say i am sooooo excited. I absolutly love rehersing and doing everything i love being in the studio and well yea may be alittle weird but i think its just soo much fun. We have had many rehersals since my last blog and the biggest one which was yesterday. WE had an all day rehersal, now although we were ment to start at 1230 we did not start until 230 which ment we finished at about 6.
W ran through the whole first act and it was hilarious, luke and myself did a golf scene that no one had seen before and it was so much fun and eveyrone enjoyed it...i hope lol! The first act was fun and then we started the second. It was obvious to see that we worked on the first act alot more than the second because there were times that we had no idea what was going to happen next. People have begun to make costume lists etc on the walls and mine was there although i did have a slip up and wrote the wrong costume which came out with me in the wrong costume. oh well no one noticed hehehe!
We finished the second actand well i feel as though the performance will be very exciting. WE first peform tomorrow and although we do not know to who it will still be fun :).
I must say though however yesterday when we had finished we decided to do the bow. Now the bow that we are doing i personally did not like. It is half from hamlet and Ms mace did say that we have to do somehthing different, something no one has done before, not do the same bow from a play that is completely different to ours. But we did however make some changes, those being more spread out and turning our head slower and using the counts and now it is actually pretty good. As luke said the bow is one of the most important parts of the show. I believe is pretty right by saying that.
Ms Mace did say that she was marking our perfomance yesterday and going to give us a predicted mark at how well we did. She was going to be a harsh marked and warned us that we did not do very well. She is going to leave the mark in our pigeon hole. I must have checked mine about 3 times today and its still not there lol! Im not getting my hopes high i just want to see wheree she thinks i am......no matter what it is i will take it.
Im very very excite dabout this week there is so much to do..but honestly im speachless and just soooo excited bring it on!!

A light at the end!

well well well.... very excting firstly it was trinity sunday today call me weird but i kinda like it, you gte to see the classrooms i showed my dad around was quite fun!
but today we finished the play we did the final scene and what a scene it is there wont be a dry eye in the place and what does she chose? we will never know!!
once finsihed we started to go through the first act.. it went rather smoothly and it was quite good eveyone stayed pretty well focused. It looks very good!!
Although Ms Mace was saying that O need to know why I am in the play why I am in that scene what is my purpose?
I think i need to think about it. Im not sure my purpose in the play because im not actually in the script but i know why i am in each scene which i think is a good thing. as we run through it fully i think i will start to understand more fully.
We dont have another rehersal till wednesday which is sad cause i think rehersals are soo much fun :)
well have a good two days rest then its back to work yay!!

Forgot to mention

On friday night myself and kyle stayed till about 615 or so and helped Ms Mace with the lights. It was lots of fun. We chose the colours for the white screen and I pushed Ms Mace around on her big stand.
Also shout out to josh, you are doing a wonderful job and the music sounds great, keep it up.

So Far!

We have been rehersing for almost 3 weeks and im not sure if it is just me but not much has been getting done. WE ARE BEHIND. with a production like this it is not somehting we want to hear, it is scary. Rehersals are good but too much time is spent on the little details that will not even be noticed, many are asking lots of questions as where to satnd etc but Ms Mace did say to feel your character what would they do, some have not understood.
For me I feel my character now is more developed I actually understand now. Pierrot is very fun to play as it gets more laughs then I thought. The ballet dancer is well im not so sure but hey its good.
The costumes I hope will be finished by the productiona and for dress rehersals etc. Good luck ally dont stress haha!
Im not sure on what esle to say although I do think that this weeks afterschool rehersals should be exteneded but hey thats just me.
Arghhhh!

First Rehearsal

The first rehearsal was today in class and we did the fairy tales scene. This involves basically everyone and I am in it as the Pierrot clown trying to be an egg then trying to be a chicken who is then also told to leave by ( mother duck) Auguste Clown. The class is working very well and there are many funny parts that I didn't think would be in it but there are. Although one negative side of this rehearsal was that many often side tracked or went into unnecessary conversation, its OK for now but we do need to focus its in 5 weeks and we have done one scene how scary. But yes I'm enjoying every minute. Hope you are too.

Holidays

In the holidays we had 2 rehersals for drama. The first was on tuesday and we played games and talked about how we will do the show. Kane came in with some gr8 idea and activites for us to do.
The second one was on the thursday I thought this one was better as we worked on character development. I am a pierrot clown and therefore have no lines. It is like a sad mime left out kind of clown very hard to explain, i dont yet understand it. But we did excersices and we worked in the round, not as challenging as I imagined it would be.
I personally love drama in the holidays or weekends because it is lots of fun and you get to be with freinds have fun on the play and have lunch lol!

Cast List..............

Mmm....The cast list came out today and I am the clown that was added in. First inpression...wow there was no where to put me so a character was added in. Im over that now but, i dont know what I feel. Its great that im a clown but I feel a little bit like an outcast...like I dont really fit in anywhere. But otherwise its ok...lets get started.
The rest of the cast is a good choice, some are really happy other upset, some shocked some surprised I guess just a very emotional class lol! This week should be interesting :)
Im not sure what else to say on the subject, still deciding myself lol!

Over

Well in terms that do not involve the drama class the musical is now over and its very sad :(
I will miss all the rehearsals, the fun, it was a really great show and shout out thank you to Ms Mace.
But then again now we have a new show which means more rehearsals and more fun so I guess you can see why I am soo excited about it. haha!!
We will get the cast list on Tuesday. I'm actually quite nervous because even after talking to Ms mace about being a character, im unsure at what to expect to get. I was given 2 possible characters by Ms Mace that were friend and mother duck, Rachel etc. But then I also tried out myself for one of the clowns. I never really got to read many parts throughout the read through or really much at all so im not sure what I will get. I do though hope it will be either Friend which I wouldn't mind getting now since Ms Mace mentioned it to me, it could be a really good role to play and lots of fun. Or maybe a clown. But which ever character I get I will still work hard at it.

Characters??

Recently we have been going throught a read through of the play mirror mirror and from simply watching it I can kind of think of the parts I may most want to play.
I think that it would be good to be one of the two clowns and today I played the counsellor and that was alot of fun so that would also be good to play. There are some characters that I would not like to get im not sure why but there are.
The scripts we should get soon if not its a bit of a worry.
Other than that i think everyhting is going well, im still thinking that some things within the group are hidden and a good D n M would get them out there, but that also causes a gatasrophie so I think we may have to deal with it.
Otherwise lets continue.....

Too Thin

Today we finished watching a tv of skinny celebraties. They were very skinny and it showed how in fact being that skinny can have a great affect on your health and life expectancy.
In the play we are going to do I think it wud be hard to play someone with anorexia it wud take alot of research but I think it can be done very well if understood. I just never really though that some people had gone to such lengths to be skinny and it is not at all attractive.

Group

Hello there,

Group production " auditions" are lots of fun. The movments we do make me feel very weird but they are just soo much fun to do and great to watch everyone else because we do not actually look that odd when doing them.
Within the group it is clear to see that there are distinctions between "groups" they do not seem to mix much. I think before the group production is in rehersal we should sit down and let everything out, it will case havic but at least it will all be out.
Luke is tossing and turning whether or not to do an ISP, I really do hope he does the group production becasue I know how much he enjoys them and little things shouldn't hold him back.
All in all its a good start so far and when we finally get the scripts we will have a read through, should be very entertaining.

Jack Davis

Hey hey

Well i have now finished my Jack Davis essay, up late if i might add but it is done. It was very hard to do and although it took a while and alot of different kinds of thinking I rekon it turned out very good. The end product i thought was very good and interesting to see what Ms Mace thinks of it. The play of the dreamers I must admit was not the most interesting play I have ever read but there was lots of things in the play I would never have noticed if we did not go through it together so that was alot of help. Thankyou.
Least we don't have to think about it again till term 3 which im not sure is a good thing or a bad thing.
Now we can focus on the group production which I am very excited about.

Progress

Hello Again

We have decided that the play we will be doing for our year 12 production is Mirror Mirror,I would have liked to do cloudstreet but i must admit that Mirror Mirror is growing on me. It is about a girl who is going throught anorexia. Ms Mace had decided not to do any auditions for parts but we will be doing activities to show how well we MOVE. By move I mean move, its all about using your body to a great extent. BIG MOVEMENTS. Im not sure if I like the idea of no auditons but we will see how it works out.

let's begin

The year has only just begun and so far it has been very good. The mix of people is very interesting, some personalitlies are clashing yet others work well together. There were many games that we played and discussions.
The first week is over and we have learned of the outline assesment and the major play whcih has not yet been decided,(giggle)
Everyone has something diffferent to bring and for some reason i think that the part i brought was the laughing and some jokes that weren't ment to be funny.
Drama is a subject of fun and work and someimes we have to think of when we have fun and when we need to work.
Overall the group is great, it should be a great year with very amusing moments. Most of all I am looking forward to the group production as it will be so much fun and working toegther and the memorable bloppers(giggle). Im just very over excited to get started and happy with everything. just a happy person at the moment with everything.
